To achieve an effective and deep coloration, HIDRACOLOR ZERO replaces ammonia with monoethanolamine (MEA works as a mild alkalizing agent and acts as a catalyst to deposit color in the cortex of the hair). This means hair that is less porous, shinier and retains color.
One of the biggest advantages of using MEA in the formula is that it keeps the cuticle open for longer, which helps the pigments penetrate deeper than with a dye with ammonia.
